Books ๐

I kinda went on a bit of a reading binge over the past week, reading the initial six books of the Aegis of Merlin series. This was another one of those “Amazon recommends this” instances and I fell for it. That said, the books were highly addictive and I’m obviously going to keep reading them. ๐คญ

โ โ โ โโBook seven of the Aegis of Merlin, I rather enjoyed it.
-
Finished reading: The Four Nations Tournament by James E. Wisher ๐
โ โ โ โโBook six of the Aegis of Merlin, I rather enjoyed it.
-
Finished reading: Wrath of the Dragon Czar by James E. Wisher ๐
โ โ โ โโBook five of the Aegis of Merlin, I rather enjoyed it.
-
Finished reading: The Raven’s Shadow by James E. Wisher ๐
โ โ โ โโBook four of the Aegis of Merlin, I rather enjoyed it.
-
Finished reading: The Chimera Jar by James E Wisher ๐
โ โ โ โโBook three of the Aegis of Merlin, I rather enjoyed it.
-
Finished reading: The Awakening by James E. Wisher ๐
โ โ โ โโBook two of the Aegis of Merlin, I rather enjoyed it.
-
Finished reading: The Impossible Wizard by James E Wisher ๐
โ โ โ โโBook one of the Aegis of Merlin, I rather enjoyed it.
-
Finished reading: Resistance Above Magic 2 by B.T. Narro ๐
โ โ โโโThe second book in the series, it was good to see where the story went but the cliffhanger was rather annoying; I guess I’ll have to wait for the next book. ๐คฃ
-
Finished reading: Unexpected Healer by Jonathan Brooks ๐
โ โ โโโThis one randomly showed up as a suggested read on my Kindle and I decided to give it a shot. It was pretty one dimensional but highly entertaining…and it set the stage for an interesting series (if the author continues, of course).
-
Finished reading: The Gorgon Incident and Other Stories by John Bierce ๐
โ โ โ โโHaving finished the Mage Errant series last year, it was rather nice to go back to the same world / universe, to revisit and reminisce.
-
Finished reading: The Price Of Power by B. K. Cook ๐
โ โ โโโThe last book of the series (though, the author makes it pretty clear they’ll be continuing the books), this one felt a little rushed and you could see the ending coming a mile away but it was still a satisfying conclusion.
-
Finished reading: In Clawed Grasp by Seth Richter ๐
โ โ โ โ โI went into this not expecting much but wow, was I surprised: this book was great. The “leveling system” is both more and less well-defined than many other books in the LitRPG genre, which is awesome. I can’t wait for the second one! ๐
-
Finished reading: Resistance Above Magic by B.T. Narro ๐
โ โ โโโI wouldn’t call it “great literature” but it was a fun read, very much reminding me of my time playing WoW, with all the talk about skill trees, leveling, & stat bonuses from gear. ๐ฎ

Finished reading: Rune Seeker 2 by J.M. Clarke & C.J. Thompson ๐
โ โ โ โโThe second book of the series, this follows up directly to the ending of the last one…and boy, does it deliver. This one couldn’t exist without the first but it’s much better; we finally get some (fascinating) backstory. ๐ก๏ธ๐ก๏ธ
